GreenPower Motor Company produces a complete line of high-floor and low-floor all-electric heavy-duty and medium-duty vehicles. The EV Star Cab & Chassis is their flagship model, and can be adapted to suit a wide range of applications. The design of the platform is based on a clean paper that allows for optimal placement of the battery pack and a lower center-of-gravity. This results in higher range/payload ratios.
The EV Star REEFERX was designed for mid-to last mile refrigerated deliveries as well as catering applications. The class 4 refrigerated truck's one wall structure inside and higher insulation compared to traditional trucks enable seamless sanitation, better temperature control and a more extended life. The EV Star REEFERX offers superior cargo capacity, and an industry-leading payload to range for zero-emission transport of passengers or goods.
green energy mobility scooters has partnered with Perrone Robotics in order to equip the EV Star with TONY (To navigate you) autonomous vehicle systems that will enable fleets to move to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star can also be wirelessly charging up to 75 kW.
We had the opportunity to test the EV9 for several hours on a local freeway and found it easy to drive and comfortable for long distances. The ride is smooth over bumps and ruts, and the EV9 is a master of suppressing the sound of traffic and wind on the highway. The acceleration of the vehicle is astonishingly quick, and it features adjustable regenerative brakes to enable "one-pedal driving" simply by lifting off the accelerator.
The EV9 has excellent range and can be fully charged within three hours at home or with any commercial charger. The driver has the option of choosing between two operating modes: eco mode and sport mode. Eco mode is a great way to increase the torque as well as cruise control and handling while sport mode focuses on speed. Both are a lot of fun to drive and provide an experience unlike any other for those who have never driven an electric vehicle before.
GreenPower offers a variety of other electric vehicles that include a multi-purpose all-electric minibus, called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA compliant and can be utilized as an executive shuttle, micro-transit or transit bus, vanpool, or a paratransit vehicle.
GreenPower is already producing around 10 EV Star buses per month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority, which is working to replace their fleet of old diesel vehicles with 100 fully electric vehicles. GreenPower will increase production to meet the demands of the Biden Administration which wants to electrify all school buses in America. green energy mobility scooters is the first of its kind to be Altoona-tested and FMVSS-certified, Buy America compliant and ADA certified.
