GreenPower Motor Company makes purpose-built heavy-duty, all-electric medium- and heavy-duty vehicles that are suited to the market for delivery and cargo as well as shuttle and transit spaces as well as school buses. Its EV Star Cab and Chassis, which is proprietary allows for multiple upgrades and bodies and sets the standards for zero emissions people and goods transportation. In the space of passenger transport GreenPower's EV Star Passenger Van sets the standard for performance, safety and sustainability. Built on the EV Star Cab and Chassis, it can be fitted with a variety of upfits and bodies to suit various operations and comes with seating capacities that range from 20 to 50 passengers. Its Altoona test score of 92.2 is the best in class, and it also offers ADA accessibility options.
As the demand for electric vehicles continues to increase, GreenPower is looking at ways to expand its production capacity. GreenPower has formed a partnership with Perrone Robotics in order to integrate Level 5 autonomy into the EV Star. This will be the first vehicle that offers this capability. In contrast to the majority of autonomous vehicles in use today that are modified or upgraded, GreenPower's EV Star was created with autonomy in mind from the start. Its design is a clean and uncluttered, making it easier to integrate future autonomous technology for driving. GreenPower's EV Star is available in both diesel and battery electric versions which can provide an up to 150 miles of range on one charge. It comes with a large payload capacity that can accommodate a variety of body designs and configurations. It can be tailored to meet the needs of a variety of uses, including paratransit employee shuttles and vanpool services.
